Tripartite Meeting between National Microfinance, the Islamic Development Bank, and UN Women

National Microfinance held a meeting with the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) to discuss opportunities for cooperation and mechanisms for launching a project titled “Enhancing Women's Digital Financial Literacy.”

The project aims to economically empower women by developing their skills in utilizing digital financial tools, thereby enhancing their ability to manage small businesses and participate effectively in the digital economy. This, in turn, contributes to creating a positive and sustainable impact on local communities.

The meeting included discussions on the challenges women face in accessing financial services, as well as a review of potential intervention models that could be implemented in collaboration with local and international partners to ensure broader financial inclusion for women across various regions of the Kingdom.

Participants in the meeting emphasized the importance of cooperation between the development and financial sectors to accelerate the pace of women's economic empowerment and to promote the use of financial technology as a tool for achieving sustainable development.
