Hosting a Delegation from Sharakah Company from Oman
National Microfinance (Alwatani) recently hosted a delegation from Sharakah Company, a leading Omani organization supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The delegation, led by Sharakah CEO Mr. Ali Muqaibal, aimed to review Alwatani's experience in fostering the Jordanian microfinance sector and SME landscape.
Mr. Sameh Al-Mahariq, Alwatani's General Manager, showcased the bank's key milestones and notable achievements over the years and emphasized how these have positioned Alwatani as a leader in both the Jordanian and Arab microfinance markets.
Mr. Ali Muqaibal elaborated on Sharakah's unique position as a company established by royal decree and its impactful contributions to the Omani SME ecosystem. He shared their successes in supporting and advising small-scale business owners through financial and advisory services.
Mr. Al-Mahariq commended the economic modernization achievements of the Sultanate of Oman, led by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said. He emphasized the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial culture and encouraged the utilization of the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) experience, which Alwatani has successfully implemented to help beneficiaries transition from micro to small and medium levels. This enables them to generate new job opportunities within their local communities.
The Link Program embodies AGFUND's strategy for beneficiary graduation, which combines tailored financial services with an array of non-financial services provided to beneficiaries.
